2.3L ECOBOOST® WITH BEST-IN-CLASS GAS TORQUE
Raw torque rules when you're taking on the rugged demands of off-road terrain. And the 2021 Ford Ranger beats all other gas-powered pickups in its class with a torque rating of 310 lb.-ft. * The 270 horses under the hood are mighty impressive too. The class-exclusive 2.3L EcoBoost® , the only turbocharged gas engine in its class, is engineered with a twin-scroll turbocharger that extracts exhaust gas from pairs of cylinders in alternating sequence, maximizing pulse energy to the turbine wheel for responsiveness on demand with virtually no lag. It also includes class-exclusive Auto Start-Stop Technology for greater fuel efficiency. The class-exclusive* 10-speed SelectShift® automatic, featuring Ford-patented technology, optimizes gear progressions and delivers smooth, quick-shifting up and down the gearbox.

The athletic shape of the 2021 Ford Ranger shows a masterful blend of style and function. The twin power dome hood has more than just strong visual performance. It works with the low-angled windshield to channel air efficiently over the roof and reduce wind noise. The wide grille opening and rounded wheel arches are aerodynamically functional as well. And high approach, break-over and departure angles enhance all-terrain capability for climbing hills and clearing obstacles.
INTERIOR DESIGN
The Ranger interior carries over from the outside the emphasis on style and function - and adds the important element of comfort. Front bucket seating is firm and supportive, with accommodations for up to five in the versatile and spacious four-door SuperCrew®. FX4 AND FX2 OFF-ROAD PACKAGES
The available FX4 Off-Road Package is ready to meet rough terrain with included tuned off-road monotube shocks, all-terrain tires with aggressive tread and a heavy-duty front bash plate. The FX4 Off-Road Package also includes skid plates for the electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) electronic motor, transfer case and fuel tank. Looks meet performance with the available FX2 package, which includes FX2 bodyside decals, standard 17-inch Off-Road OWL tires and available 18-inch off-road OWL tires. Both packages include a traction-enhancing electronic-locking rear differential, plus an off-road suspension. And inside, a cluster screen provides feedback on pitch and roll plus steering angle.
